As summer winds down, a lot of Tahoe’s summer series for activity, ambiance and education are coming to a close. However, there is still a little time left to enjoy some of the best of them. For instance, if you have not had the opportunity to do the Tahoe Star Tours at Northstar, you really should take advantage of one of the last two events occurring this Friday, Sept. 13th and Saturday, Sept. 14th. It is an educational and beautiful evening under Northstar’s starry skies lead by star guide and poet Tony Berendsen. A description of the tour is available at www.tahoestartours.com. Guests will meet at the top of the Highlands Gondola. The tour lasts approximately two and a half hours and will include a lovely evening in front of a warm fire with s’mores as well as wine, coffee or hot chocolate…and, of course, astronomical amazement. You will want to wear comfortable shoes to hike around, and a sweater or jacket for cool mountain evening. This event is a great idea for either a date night with your sweetie, or a family affair.
