Matty McInnis

Matty is a Tahoe-Truckee resort market expert. He delivers the highest level of service to his clients helping them to achieve their dream of owning and living in the mountains.

He had always been a West Coaster trapped in small-town Maine and New England. His parents knew at the early age of 3 that his love for sliding on snow at Sugarloaf, USA, would eventually lead him to a life in and around bigger and better mountains.
After graduating from Saint Michaels College with a BA in English Literature and a minor in Business Administration, it came as no surprise to his family when Matty packed up his Subaru and made the long trek West to ultimately settle in what he calls the “Vermont of California,” Lake Tahoe.
Prior to joining the TMR team, Matty has spent the previous 10 years of his professional career as a Guest Service, Mountain Safety Manager and Assistant Bike Park Manager for Northstar, CA. In these roles, he received several awards for leadership and innovation in guest services.
Settled in Truckee with his beautiful wife and two young children, Matty is dedicated to sharing his passion for sports and life in Lake Tahoe with his family and others. His calm yet charismatic demeanor, exemplary guest service skills coupled with his driven, New England work ethic provide a unique experience for buyers and sellers who seek relaxed experience from an agent that will work tirelessly for their needs.

Matty was amazing. I can't think of anything negative about my experience with him. Strong knowledge of the market, extremely responsive (even on days he was not supposed to work), outstanding negotiations skills (there were 7 offers on the house and we got on top without outbidding anyone by 100s of thousands of dollars. We barely got on top and that is what you want!). We have absolutely no reason not to recommend Matty. There is no way, we will use another agent for our needs in Tahoe. Matty represented us for the purchase of our home in Truckee. From the get go, Matty was very communicative and pro-active in getting the process rolling. Given that this was going to be our second house and we lived hours away, Matty was to be our eyes and ears for many first looks. We found his comments and evaluations always accurate and truthful. He understood what we were looking for and would often advise if something was not worth following up despite how nice the pics were online! When we made a trip to view houses in person, Matty was very accommodating on short notice to tour us around. He went out of his way to show us many neighborhoods. During the process Matty stuck a good balance of bringing new homes to our attention while not overwhelming us. Once we found a home and made an offer, Matty was quick to highlight some of the pain points and think strategically to anticipate problems down the line. His assistant Jenna was very good in communicating the timeline and shepherding the paperwork. Matty communicated great with my loan advisor and kept things on track.
