Heavenly Mountain Resort, Northstar California, and Kirkwood Mountain Resort have announced their anticipated opening dates for the upcoming 2023-2024 skiing and snowboarding season. Heavenly and Northstar are aiming to open their doors on Friday, November 17, while Kirkwood is targeting Friday, December 1.

Our teams at Heavenly, Kirkwood, and Northstar have maintained their dedication and focus throughout the summer to ensure another outstanding ski and ride experience for our valued guests.”
The 2023/24 Epic Pass options are now available for purchase, offering new benefits and experiences for the season. Guests have until Labor Day, Monday, September 4, to secure the best rates for season-long skiing and snowboarding before prices rise.
In addition, a novel feature this season is the Mobile Pass & Mobile Lift Ticket technology accessible through the new My Epic app. This innovative technology enables guests to conveniently store their pass on their smartphones, allowing for seamless, hands-free scanning using Bluetooth® Low Energy technology. This eliminates the need to queue at the ticket window or wait for pass delivery, also contributing to a reduction in plastic and RFID chip waste. While plastic cards will still be an option for guests who prefer not to use their phones as passes, Mobile Pass will debut on the new My Epic app in the fall of 2023.
Guests are encouraged to purchase their Epic Pass products or lift tickets in advance, especially as daily lift ticket availability will be limited across all resorts to enhance the guest experience.
All winter opening dates are subject to weather conditions, with resorts commencing snow production as soon as weather conditions allow in the autumn. More information regarding the novelties and offerings for the upcoming ski and ride season at Heavenly, Northstar, and Kirkwood will be shared as November draws closer.
