This weekend is the perfect precursor to the holiday week at Northstar Resort. Over the past seven days, Northstar has seen fourteen inches of fresh snow, which has allowed for additional ski runs to be opened- including the backside! Many festive activities and events have been planned for the coming week, we hope you’ll join us for a few:

Twilight Snowshoe Tours
Saturday, December 20 and 27
5:00pm
A guided 2-2.5 hour evening snowshoe tour beginning at the at the Cross Country, Telemark and Snowshoe Center located mid-mountain at Northstar Resort. Your group will traverse the pine forests on the resort concluding at The Village at Northstar to enjoy a fire pit, s’mores and hot chocolate. Dogs are allowed on leash.

Snowman Factory
December 20-24
3:00-5:00pm
Create your own snowman at the Northsar Snowman Factory which will provide carving tools and snowman accessories. Parents will indulge in the signature cocktail- The Dirty Snowman (hot cocoa, vanilla vodka, Irish Cream and Hazelnut Liquor).

Star Gazing Tours
Tuesday, December 23 and Friday, December 26
5:00pm
Star guide and poet Tony Berendsen will lead a snowshoe tour from the Cross Country, Telemark and Snowshoe Center during which he will guide a laser tour of the stars and constellations, provide telescopic viewings with top-of-the-line Celestron telescopes, and offer time around the fire pit and warm up with wine and hot cider. Dogs are allowed on leash.

Turtleneck Tuesday
Tuesday, December 23

Enjoy time on the Ice Skating Rink at The Village at Northstar for a retro skate night. With lasers, lights and music from top artists of the 70’s and 80’s, this winter event is a favorite. Games, prizes, and face painting will all take place. Skating is free for those with their own equipment, and ice skate rentals are $10.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
Wednesday, December 24

Tahoe Resort Ministries will provide a Christmas Eve Candlelight Interdenominational Church Service on Wednesday, December 24. Taking place in the Northstar conference rooms, located on the lower level of The Village, all are welcome for this service. Hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies will be provided.

Holiday Buffet at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe
Thursday, December 25
2:00-7:00pm
A lavish buffet of seasonal and traditional holiday favorites will be held in The Ritz‐Carlton Ballroom. Advanced reservations are required, and the cost is $95 for adults, $35 for children ages 4-10.

Tahoe Mountain Realty Holiday Party
Saturday, December 27
3:00-6:00pm
Join us at our sales gallery located near the skier dropoff at the entrance to The Village at Northstar for our annual holiday party. Special holiday cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served. We look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones.

In Addition to these planned events, all week long Northstar Resort will be hosting holiday festivities throughout The Village and on the mountain. Meet santa, take a horse-drawn sleigh ride, take in a Ripperoo Parade, write a letter to Santa, and enjoy live music at The Village Stage located near the skating rink.
