Looking for something special to do with your main squeeze this weekend at Northstar? Many events and activities are on the agenda at Northstar to celebrate this Valentine’s Day weekend.
Start the day off on Saturday with the entire family at the top of the Big Springs Gondola in the day lodge where complimentary face painting will be offered. Then, hit the slopes where everyone can take their turn on Cupid’s Course Valentine’s Fun Race. Take as many runs as you can, because 50% of all race fees ($6/run) will be donated toTahoe SAFE Alliance.
At 2:00 p.m. if you really want to shout out your love, head to the top of Rendezvous for the daily Northstar Tost. Special for Valentine’s day this year is Ski, Tost, and be Married! A group wedding ceremony will be performed for anyone who wishes to profess their love, renew their vows, or actually be married! EpicMix photographers will be on site to capture the special day.
Next stop, The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe for evening activities. Choose from a night of wine and painting at Café Blue hosted by The Painted Vine or, spend a night with your doggie at the 7th Annual Black Tie & Tails Gala.
Valentine’s Day with Painted Vine:
The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe and local Truckee business Painted Vine have put together a Valentine’s Day night for couples interested in indulging their creative sides. Enjoy painting, wine, champagne, cheese and dessert. Space is limited and advance reservations are required, the cost is $150/per couple.
7th Annual Black Tie & Tales Gala:
The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe and The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe are once again hosting the Black Tie & Tails Gala fundraising event. Dress to impress – both you and your dog! Enter the gala on the red carpet and enjoy a night full of appetizers (for the four legged also), champagne, music, dancing, and new friends to play with. Tickets are going fast – $175/person+dog.
