The big news this week was the announcement that Vail Resorts bought Park City Mountain Resort. Why is this big news? Well, if you’re an Epic Pass holder at Northstar, you can now enjoy skiing in Park City on the same pass. Not only do you get to ski Northstar, Heavenly and Kirkwood in the Tahoe region, but you also will have access to 22 resorts, including Canyons in Park City, Utah, Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado. It’s fun to think about the possibility of skiing all these resorts on one ski pass, but more significantly, this is a great reflection of Vail Resorts goal to be the “best ski operator in the world.” In addition to buying new ski areas, Vail Resorts has the vision and finances to continue making our ski experiences better and better right here at home in Tahoe.
My real estate pick this week is a property in Gray’s Crossing – 11042 Henness Road. This 4 bed, 3.5 bath, 3,750 sq.ft. home is currently listed for $1,440,000, which is below the fair market value for the nine homes that have sold in Grays Crossing this year. It is one of only four homes on the market, and is certainly the most superior in terms of quality and location. It should be the next home to sell at its current price. This home has a great floor plan with an open living, dining and kitchen area. The finish levels are top-notch. It’s located a close walking distance to the pool and fitness facility and PJ’s restaurant. If you have not toured this home, you should. Contact me for more details and a tour.
