Spend local, support locals. In its 15th year, the Truckee Wine Walk and Shop is taking place this Saturday, October 6th. One of Truckee’s favorite fall events, over 1,000 locals and visitors will be downtown to sample great wine and gourmet food, and to enjoy some of the boutique shops and restaurants that contribute to the charm of Truckee. There are over 30 participating venues that will be serving wine. Attendees will receive a wine glass, food tickets and a map to guide them through the event.
The best news is that all of this fun is for a good cause. Over the past 14 years, over $30,000 has been donated to different local organizations such as the Tahoe Food Hub, Tahoe Safe Alliance and Girls on the Run. This year, funds will go to Big Brothers and Sisters of Nevada County and North Lake Tahoe Community Theater.
Tickets can be purchased in advance here, or on the day of the event. Free cab rides by High Sierra Taxi are available before, during and after the event for attendees within Truckee town limits.
