The days are getting longer, the temps are getting warmer, and the kick off of a few great local events signal the start of another great Truckee/Tahoe summer!
If you have yet to attend a Truckee Thursdays event on Donner Pass Road in Downtown Historic Truckee, it is a must for the entire family. From 5-8 pm every Thursday from June 11 through August 20th, you can enjoy an evening of live music, a beer garden, farmer’s market, street fair, and kids’ area. You can shop plenty of fresh, organic produce, as well as locally made jewelry, clothing, photography, and art. While perusing, treat yourself to a fantastic meal from a huge selection of local food trucks and vendors. One of my personal favorites is Full Belly Deli, the pork pop can’t be missed. There is also a variety of activities to keep the kids busy, including a bounce house and small petting zoo. Cap off your summer evening with an ice cold beer and some great tunes from local bands.
