Enjoy a seven-week live music series brought to you by Tahoe Donner beginning Feb. 2 through March 16, 2023 at Pizza on the Hill and the Alder Creek Cafe. In collaboration with the Tahoe Truckee School of Music, Tahoe Donner is pleased to present a variety of free musical performances from jazz and rock music to acoustic, folk and more.
This winter, enjoy lively music and dining on select Thursday and Saturday evenings!

The Giving Fund Winter Speaker Series, Exploring Mountain Vistas and Historical Sites

The Tahoe Donner Giving Fund is pleased to announce the return of the Winter Speaker Series. We will be hosting a series of social events aimed at building relationships and providing intellectual learning experiences at Tahoe Donner. With something for everyone, we hope you join us. Beverages are available for purchase in the Pub and may be brought to the downstairs Alder Room; Pub and Dining Room open until 9PM.

Full Moon Showshoe Tours

Looking for a great way to enhance your trip to Lake Tahoe this winter? Join Tahoe Adventure Company for one of our very special Full Moon Snowshoe Treks. Take in the brisk mountain air as you snowshoe under the moon and learn about the High Sierra.
After meeting the group and previewing the trip, time will be spent fitting gear and a comprehensive lesson will be covered. You will trek on our easy to use snowshoes through Tahoe’s peaceful, wintry forest. As we travel by moonlight, our knowledgeable guides will discuss natural history and astronomy topics as well as fascinating facts about our moon. We will also stop along the way to take in the beautiful views and enjoy snacks and hot drinks. This tour is popular with all ability levels and ages(8+)!

Alpenglow 10k and 20k Race
February 26th | 10 am | Tahoe Cross Country
Join us for this year’s Alpenglow 10k and 20k Race; historically one of the most competitive and scenic races in the Far West. Hosted by Tahoe XC and supported by Alpenglow Sports in Tahoe City. Each year, Alpenglow gives out outstanding prizes to top-3 Men and Women in each distance. Give it a go; you’ll be glad you did! This is a mass start race, freestyle (classic or skate).

The 13th annual Ullr Fest Parade & Community Party will be held on Friday, February 3rd at Diamond Peak Ski Resort. Join the community for an outdoor celebration, while raising funds for the Diamond Peak Ski Team (DPSEF). The festive evening will include a torchlight parade, bonfire, music, raffles, food, drinks and more!
Come dressed in your best Ullr attire as the event is named for the Scandinavian god of winter and snow, who is widely regarded as the patron saint of skiers. Ullr hats will be available for purchase, while supplies last. Admission and parking are free. Food, drinks, raffles and merchandise will be available for purchase. Please dress warm, as the event will be held exclusively outdoors.

Winter Pairings Dinner Series ft. Sonoma Cutrer

Your evening will begin with a welcome toast featuring, Sonoma Cutrer Russian River Valley Brut Rose as you board the tram and head to High Camp. Family style communal seating will greet you as well as an appetizer on the table as we begin our dining experience. Your meal will be paired with a selection of Sonoma Cutrer vintages carefully chosen by our team and chef. An epicurean experience to remember. Please note that seating is family style- but served as a 4-course plated dinner.
The backup location will be Plaza Bar, giving our guests an unforgettable experience with amazing KT-22 & Tram Face views as well as tastes and smells of incredible cuisine being prepared by our highly talented culinarians. 21+ no exceptions

Alpenglow Sports Winter Speaker Series, Anna Pfaff Life’s Newest Crux
February 9th | 7-9 pm | Olympic Valley Event Center
In April of 2022, Anna Pfaff and climbing partner Priti Wright successfully climbed the Alaskan giant Mt. Huntington, via the Harvard Route, a coveted and highly technical alpine route. Upon arriving back in basecamp, Pfaff was struck with aggressive frostbite on both feet, which ultimately led to the loss of six toes. Pfaff’s show Life’s New Crux will document her journey throughout the process and how she is working hard to return to the mountains. Alpine adventures around the world have shaped Pfaff, and now she is using these lessons to help her overcome a new crux in life.

The Mountainfilm on Tour is coming to Palisades Tahoe bringing a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed and inspiring documentary films curated from the Mountainfilm festival held every Memorial Day weekend in Telluride, Colorado.
Held at the Palisades Tahoe Olympic Village Events Center on February 18th (2/18/23) at 7pm the show(s) will explore themes connected to Mountainfilm’s mission: to use the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world. Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 7pm. All ages are welcome to come! Representatives from popular ski and climb brands will be in attendance. A great raffle will benefit the local non-profit, Courage Project.

The Stifel Palisades Tahoe Cup: A Stop on the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Tour
February 24th-26th | 4-6 pm | Palissades Tahoe
Palisades Tahoe is no stranger to international competition. A renowned ski racing venue that has bred champions since the 1960 Winter Olympics, the resort’s legendary steeps will once again welcome back World Cup racers this winter. One of only four U.S. resorts featured on the Audi FIS Ski World Cup circuit this season, Palisades Tahoe will host men’s slalom and giant slalom events on Dog Leg and Red Dog Face. The course, raced in 2017 for the women’s alpine event, is one Olympic champion Mikaela Shiffrin has described as “one of, if not the toughest” course venues on the women’s World Cup circuit.

Tahoe Mountain Club Winter Carnival

Tahoe Mountain Club’s first-ever Winter Carnival is here! TMC’s Winter Carnival was inspired by the New England tradition that began in 1922, and it will surely be a winter wonderland full of fun. Complete with ice sculptures and snow statues, a giant bonfire, a snow queen coronation, festive bites, and traditional winter carnival games like barrel jumping, axe throwing, human dog sledding, and canoe races. This is a family-friendly winter event you won’t want to miss this ski-skate week! Dress warm!
