Spring Egg Hunt

April 8th | 11am | Truckee Regional Park

Come out to the Truckee-Donner Recreation & Park District’s Spring Egg Hunt at Truckee Regional Park. This community event is a safe and fun environment for the whole family as your young ones are able to pick up tons of Easter Eggs spread around the 2 ballfields. The event starts at 11:00 a.m. when the Easter Bunny arrives, and then the Egg Hunt begins at 11:30 a.m. sharp. The children are divided into multiple age groups to ensure a fair and safe area for each child. This is a FREE event with face painting, candy and other great prizes for the kids. Bring your own basket for the hunt, and come out to the park for a great day of family fun!

Easter Eggstravaganza

April 9th | 10am-2pm | The Lodge Restaurant and Pub

It’s an extravaganza like no other! Celebrate Easter Sunday at The Lodge Restaurant & Pub. Enjoy the all-you-can-eat brunch buffet with a glass of complimentary champagne or mimosa (adults only). Then, the Easter Bunny will be in Tahoe Donner for our annual Easter Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt! There will be plenty of eggs to go around for kids ages 12 and under (please bring your own basket for the egg hunt). Come enjoy fun free activities, including kid’s crafts, balloon creations, face painting and pictures with the Easter Bunny and more. Kids crafts will be available throughout the duration of the event in the Alder Room in The Lodge Restaurant & Pub. Reservations strongly recommended. Please call (530) 587-9455 to make your reservation. Note: The Lodge will be closed for dinner on April 9.

Trail Running Film Festival

Calling all trail runners and outdoor enthusiasts! Get ready for an epic cinematic adventure that will take you to the wildest and most breathtaking trails around the world. In partnership with Tahoe Mountain Sports, we are excited to announce our upcoming Trail Running Film Festival, where we will showcase the best and most inspiring films of the year that capture the essence of trail running and the beauty of nature.

Join us at Alibi Ale Works on April 13th for a night of adventure, inspiration, and fun! Doors open at 6:00 PM and the show will run from 7:00-9:00 PM. This event is free for DPMR members or $20 for non-members (at the door). In addition, we will be accepting donations for the DPMR trail stewardship fund and you will also have a chance to win some amazing prizes.

From heart-pumping adventures to soul-stirring journeys, these films will leave you inspired, energized, and ready to hit the trails. Save the date, invite your friends, and get your tickets now to secure your spot at the festival.

LUNAFest

LUNAFest is proud to amplify the inspiring short films by this year’s selection of women and gender nonconforming directors. This year’s featured filmmakers are from all walks of life and range from poets to conservationists, activists, and educators. These stories remind us that when we come together, we all move forward. Films feature bold individuals, powerful images, and impactful language. Stories reflect the diverse perspectives of the filmmakers and their subjects. Some may contain content that is not suitable for children.

The 2023 season features seven short films with a total running time of 90 minutes.

The event is a fundraiser for Girls on the Run Sierras. $30, includes two raffle tickets.

The Sugar Bowl Uphiller

April 1st | 7:30 am – 4:30 pm | Sugar Bowl

Calling all ski tourers and splitboarders– rack up as many human-powered laps to the top of Lincoln as you can in a day, all without the help of a chairlift. You can skin for the win or just skin for fun, all uphillers are welcome at this event. Costumes recommended!

Participants can choose the amount of vertical climbing they want to do. Each lap an uphiller completes earns them additional raffle tickets and a better chance at earning sweet prizes during the awards ceremony.

Start from the Judah Lodge at your own pace and use the designated route to skin up to the summit of Lincoln. At the top, check in with the race attendant to log your lap. We’ll have a pop up bar with refreshments, a DJ, and lawn chairs in case you need a break! For every lap you take, you’ll earn a progressive amount of raffle tickets and a better chance to score a sweet prize at the awards ceremony. When you ski/ride back down to the Judah Lodge to complete your lap, check in with the race attendant located at registration.

Whether you want to do one lap or 10 laps, all uphillers are welcome at this event. When you need a break from all skinning, hang out with us at the pop up bars at the summit of Lincoln or the Judah Lodge. We’ll have live music, beverages, and lots of good vibes.

At the end of the event we will raffle off some great prizes. The more laps you take the better chance you have of winning!

Banked Slalom

Wiggle as fast as you can through our annual Banked Slalom! The ‘snake-run’ style course is specifically built for the event and features flowy banked turns and creative features that will be sure to leave a smile on your face.

Be sure to stick around for awards and festivities, to follow on the Judah Deck.

2023 Achieve Tahoe Gala

April 8th | 6pm | Olympic Village Events Center

Join us for a special evening celebrating inclusion that includes a silent auction, getaway raffle, a fun and lively auction, and heartwarming presentations that honor two individuals who exemplify Achieve Tahoe’s mission.

All proceeds raised at the Gala will go to support Achieve Tahoe’s efforts to build health, confidence, and independence in people with disabilities.

Tickets include a sit-down dinner, dessert, and drinks.

Snow Golf Tournament

April 15th | 9am-2pm | Alpine Meadows

Ditch the ski jacket for a collared shirt and khakis- Alpines’ Annual Snow Golf Tournament is back for its 37th year! As the only top-to-bottom snow golf course, this highly anticipated spring event is a unique way to spend a day on the slopes with friends and family. The nine-hole course starts at the top of Summit Express Chair and meanders its way down the mountain with the last holes bringing competitors back to the bottom of Alpine Bowl Chair.

Please note: event date subject to change due to weather & conditions.

Registration is free at base area (must have lift ticket or season pass)

Pick up your score card, ball, and club at the base, then load Summit Chair

Course begins at top of Summit Chair

1st tee time is at 9am

Last tee time is 12pm

Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Festival

April 15th | 11am-5pm | Palisades Tahoe

One of the largest Earth Day celebrations in the region, the free community event takes place at The Village at Palisades Tahoe from 11am to 5pm, and gives kids and adults the opportunity to learn about recycling, composting, alternative energy, and sustainability through hands-on activities the whole family can enjoy.

This event is a community tradition to learn about sustainable products and services offered by local organizations and businesses, meet with local area nonprofits that share Earth Day values, as well as showcasing local entertainment. Our goal is to connect the community with the people and resources found in our region who foster innovation, initiate change and ultimately implement an equitable partnership for a green planet.

Back for 2023: Recycle with Us

Lithium battery or any of your old rechargeable devices! We’ve partnered with Redwood Materials and the Rotary Clubs of Incline Village and Incline

Interact Club to host an on-site battery recycling drop off at the Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Festival. Bring your old lithium-ion batteries and phones, laptops, tablets, power tools, and any other device with a lithium-ion battery at the Redwood Materials booth to have it properly recycled.

Back for its third year and bigger than ever, students from the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District along with help from Mountain Forge, Forest Charter, Palisades Tahoe and Citizens Climate Lobby, North Tahoe have created a brand new climate Stripes Exhibit for the 2023 Tahoe Truckee Earth Day.
