Are you ready for super muddy madness? The first of two Tough Mudder events happening at Northstar California this year is only a few days away! Thousands upon thousands of people will be literally piling into Northstar Resort beginning this Saturday to test their all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie over a 10-12 mile obstacle course designed by British Special Forces. Not to mention the fact that they will be getting extremely dirty!! Between the registered participants and spectators, there will be an estimated 15,000+ people for Saturday’s event, and 7,000+ people for Sunday’s event. Tough Mudder is the premier adventure challenge series which raises money for the Wounded Warrior Project…more than $5 million so far. Any person willing to brave these grueling tests of man-/woman-hood deserves to be called, “One Tough Mudder”.
This is going to be a great event. Please keep in mind that whether you are a participant, a spectator, or just planning to visit Northstar over the weekend, you will want to do some logistical planning ahead of time. The Tough Mudder base area will be located at mid-mountain and tickets are required for spectators. Also, parking is designated in the manner that all parking onsite at Northstar has been pre-sold. There will be shuttles, etc. offered for transportation into Northstar. You will want to give yourself plenty of time for traveling to and from the venue. For all of you who are participating, good luck and get dirty.
