Every other week Tahoe Mountain Club sends out their Bulletin which is filled with events for the whole family. Over the past couple of months I have been thinking of signing up for one of the events but never got around to it. Last week the Texting Scavanger Hunt caught my eye and I recruited my co-work Breck to join me in the adventure.
On Saturday, we started at Alpine Club where we gave the host our cell phone number. We were told to head up the mountain and await our first text. As we were riding up the gondola our first text arrived, take a photo of your team pretending to do a trick posing in front of an entrance to a terrain park. For the next hour and a half we received new texts and had to figure out which chair lifts got us to the location. We had a lot of fun asking strangers to pose for photos and skiing the mountain on a sunny Saturday morning.
This will not be my last event hosted by the Tahoe Mountain Club, they did a great job.
