This past Sunday, I participated in my own version of a Triathlon. What does this mean, you ask? Living in Tahoe allows everyone the opportunity to choose their own adventure, whether you are here for a weekend, a week, or if you live here full time. My Sunday morning started out with a couple of hours of skiing at Northstar. The groomed runs could not have been more fun, with plenty of snow and more than enough trails open to be entertained for hours.
My next adventure took me to Tunnel Creek, just past Incline Village, where I went on a five mile trail run with panoramic views of the lake. About 2.2 miles up my climb, I encountered some snow, but it was still passable.
To reward myself for a full day of activity, I ended my day at Sandy Beach in Tahoe Vista. My time on the sand revolved around an afternoon snack and a good book. And, if you didn’t notice, I do consider sitting on the beach and relaxing a sport.
If you have a trip planned to Tahoe in the near future, there is plenty to do… just make sure you don’t leave your hiking shoes or imagination at home!
