The Truckee/Tahoe area is synonymous with outdoor adventure. Less well known, but equally impressive, are the events showcasing the arts. Two such events are taking place this week on Tahoe’s East Shore. If you have yet to experience the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, it is a must. Grab a glass of wine and appetizer before the show and take in the beautiful Sand Harbor vistas, then settle in with your toes in the sand and enjoy first class entertainment as the sun sets behind the stage. This is the final week of shows for the 2015 summer season, Monday August 18th through Saturday through August 23rd, and show times are at 7:30 p.m. concluding at 10:00 p.m. The featured plays this week are “Romeo and Juliet” and “The Fantasticks.” Patrons are welcome to bring their own picnic dinner, or may purchase food and beverage on site.
