With Northstar California scheduled to open for the 2016-17 winter on Wednesday, November 23rd membership to the Tahoe Mountain Club is on the MUST HAVE list. Featuring a ski valet, full apres scene, and ski-in/ski-out access, the Alpine Club offers the perfect mountainside retreat while enjoying a day on the slopes or discovering the many shops and activities in the Northstar Village. Here is a deeper look into the offered amenities.
Ski Valet
The complimentary Ski Valet allows you to leave your gear overnight. In the morning, arrive to your boots warming by the lobby’s fireplace while your skis and boards are ready to grab and go from the rolling racks.
Open from 7:30am – 6:00pm, daily. To request your equipment, please remember to contact Ski Valet at (530) 550-3500.
The Alpine Club’s seasonal lockers are available for reservations. Designed for storage of soft winter gear, they’re the perfect spot for storing jackets, helmets and gloves, and large enough for 2-3 people to share. Limited quantities of lockers are available and expected to sell out quickly.
Dining
We’ve revamped our Lunch & Ski Après menu which is available from 11:00am – 6:00pm, daily. If you need a quick pick me up, or belly warmer before hitting the slopes, the complimentary hot beverage service is available with coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. As always, the complimentary hot beverages are offered from 7:30am – 10:00am, daily. On the weekends and holiday periods, Grab & Go hot breakfast items and brunch specialties such as breakfast burritos and sandwiches are available.
After a day on the slopes, the Alpine Club is the perfect place to unwind with an appetizer and adult beverage from the full bar. Let the kids crash in the media room in front of a movie, play games, or work on crafts. On game days, Members flock to the TVS to root on their favorite team while enjoying food and drink.

Schaffer’s Camp
Perched atop of Northstar California, Schaffer’s Camp is your luxury ski-in/ski-out lodge featuring gourmet dining, roaring rock fireplaces, and breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The member’s only lodge is more than just an excuse to kick off your heavy ski boots. Complimentary woolen slippers create a cozy environment that makes it hard to head back outdoors. With various sizes for kids and adults, escaping your ski boots and slipping into comfort is the highlight of the day for many.
Schaffer’s Camp offers superior service and culinary offerings amid breathtaking views. Favorite items include fresh and inventive soups, slow-roasted entrees, wood fired pizzas, unique salads, and delicious sandwiches. Lunch is served daily from 11:00AM-2:30PM. Looking ahead, Schaffer’s Camp is scheduled to open Saturday, December 17th. Reservations will open December 1st.
While Northstar California continues to prepare the mountain, Alpine Club will be open starting this Saturday, through Tuesday, November 22nd. The full menu and Ski Valet service will be available during these hours. Regular scheduled hours will begin Wednesday, November 23rd.
