Fourth of July is just one week away. Plan ahead to enjoy all that Tahoe-Truckee has to offer.

Start the week with TMR’s Luxury Home Tour and be sure to stop and see me at my favorite Lahontan estate at 405 Carrie Pryor. Spend Monday, July 2nd preparing for the fireworks and beach days ahead. (New Moon in Truckee has a great deli for to-go sandwiches & provisions.)

King’s Beach hosts fireworks and a beach party on Wednesday, July 3rd complete with live music, a beer garden and food vendors.

Truckee is the place to be on the 4thwith family friendly events throughout the day.  Start the morning with the Firecracker Mile; a one-mile downhill race appropriate for all ages and levels. Festive attire encouraged and recommended.  After the race, head towards Bar of America in Truckee, to secure a prime spot to watch the parade.

Post parade, the West End Beach at Donner Lake holds the annual Fourth of July Celebration. The daylong event boasts games, food and entertainment. Stay for the fireworks, or take Old 40 to Donner Summit and watch the fireworks from the vista point.

Fourth of July week in Tahoe-Truckee is not complete without lending a hand and cleaning up on July 5th for the Keep Tahoe Red White & Blue initiative.
