43 houses sold in Northstar last year after 16 sales in 2015. There is value in Northstar homes and proof is in the numbers. The condo numbers increased at a much lower percentage.
Village Walk at Northstar has returned to the forefront as the best value in Tahoe when utility and investment return from rental income is factored in. Just ask your favorite rental property manager. Walk to the Village and ski lift and avoid the lines. Spacious two car garage makes use so much easier all year round. Minutes from downtown Truckee, Kings Beach and Lake Tahoe. Bike and hike right out the door when the seasons change. Motivation is strong to get this one sold too. This isn’t technically a single family home but lives like one which is another factor in value and why I point out the year over year value show by the houses sold numbers stated above. Most importantly this one has hygge too!
Village Walk – Village at Northstar – $1,695,000
A strong running for second place is a cabin at Old Greenwood. It is not listed currently on the MLS but is available for $1,350,000. Amenities, pool table, hot tub, great location, walk to the driving range and Pavilion, this one has it all. Very, very strong rental value.
The Stellar Townhomes continue to push the value envelope as well but fall just below. They are still more luxury than value but worth a look for comparison. Very high hygge rating.

I also never thought I would see another house in Squaw Valley under $500,000. Last year I was involved in the highest and lowest price transactions in Squaw Valley, which I always have fun saying, and never thought I would see another one under $500,000. Dump or not somebody should call me and buy this.
