Welp…we asked for it and we got it! January and Feburary have delivered, where most years we look to March and April to be the large producers. I’m so tired from weeks of shoveling and riding…but it’s the absolute best kind of tired…and I like this new routine.
Wake up, put on my snowsuit, shovel cars off, snowblow driveway, drop off kids at daycare and then come get some morning pow….and repeat.
If you are coming up this week for the holiday…remember to thank your employees for all their hard work to keep the resorts open for all of us to enjoy like this. Just getting out of the driveway for most of us has been quite the feat over the last few weeks.
We’re only two weeks into the month and look at these alarming snow totals over the last four days! It’s truly amazing to be to live in a region where this can be the new normal.

Despite the havoc the extreme snow conditions is creating for the region…sales are trending exactly on par with prior year at 140 transactions while both average price has leapt by 22% to $1,244,376, and median price by 11% to $645,000.
A uncharacteristically timed $37,000,000 lakefront, and 7 Martis Camp home sales have the luxury sector doing much of the heavy lifting while inventory still seems quite starved in the primary home market. Look for that inventory to change once the snow clears, as savvy sellers, looking to beat the rush of springtime listings work on listing their house. I’m happy to announce that the first Boulders Residence at Mountainside is now under contract, as I expect heavy touring activity and demand for ski in/ski out real estate in Tahoe’s only true on mountain community this week.
