Shore Haven
Recently featured by Forbes Global Properties, Shore Haven is an inspired, contemporary mountain home redefining what is possible in Lahontan.
As the former General Manager of the Lahontan Community Association, I’m proud to have played an integral role in the design and development of this remarkable home.
Architectural Collaboration
Blending Tradition with Modernity
A close collaboration between Truckee-based Ryan Group Architects and Jim Morrison Construction, this clean take on a gable-driven home design blends effortlessly with the community’s more traditional homes while representing a significant step forward in Lahontan’s aesthetics.
Design Innovation
Balancing Intimacy and Scale
The 5,971-sf home features 6-bedrooms, 7-baths, and guests enjoy the intimacy of the detached Lake House, which offers yet another perspective of Lahontan’s Gooseneck Reservoir.
Innovative Design for Enhanced Livability
In a rare “win-win-win” scenario, a carefully considered revision to the building envelope of this nearly 2-acre property increased the distance from neighboring homes, reduced the visual impact from roadways, and effectively promoted a floor plan with an overall horizontal emphasis. The combined result of these changes is a ground-hugging main level which lends Shore Haven an easy-going, contemporary livability ideal for entertaining, larger families, and takes full advantage of the amazing offsite views.
Experience Shore Haven
Shore Haven is a true masterpiece of modern mountain living, and I’m thrilled to share this exceptional home with you.
8800 George Whittell Drive is currently listed by my colleague Katie Tyler at Tahoe Mountain Realty.
