Parking Programs at Northstar and Palisades Tahoe for the 2024/25 Season
Parking policies at Northstar and Palisades Tahoe have been designed to enhance guest convenience and reduce traffic during peak times. Here’s a breakdown of the latest programs:
Northstar California
Northstar now implements a reservation-based parking system. Guests visiting the Village View lot must make advance reservations, especially on weekends and holidays. Parking is free for early birds arriving before 7:30 AM or after 1 PM. Outside these windows, the cost starts at $20/day. Additionally, the Castle Peak lot offers free parking with a shuttle to the base area. Guests are encouraged to book parking as early as possible to secure a spot and minimize congestion.
New for this season, Northstar’s parking program aims to improve flow by better managing peak arrival times. This means fewer lines, less circling for spots, and a more relaxed start to your day on the slopes.

Palisades Tahoe
Palisades Tahoe offers both free and paid parking options. The primary parking lots near the main village are available for $30/day during weekends and holidays, offering convenience and easy access to the slopes. Palisades also provides free parking in its outer lots, which are serviced by shuttle buses running regularly to the base area. These outer lots are perfect for those looking to save on parking fees while still enjoying efficient transport to the resort.
New this season, Palisades has introduced digital parking management, allowing guests to view real-time parking availability through their mobile app. This streamlines the arrival experience and ensures you can plan ahead for hassle-free parking.

Both resorts are encouraging guests to carpool or use shuttles to reduce the environmental impact and ease congestion on busy days.
