Tahoe Mountain Realty is pleased to introduce to you the #NewNorthstar campaign. Whether your affinity for Northstar, California extends 40 years or 40 minutes, we have found that nearly everyone who experiences the resort carries some type of bond for the memories created here.
The wonder of the resort is nearly everyone who visits, does so in search of creating memories. Whether skiing, hiking, biking or simply relaxing in any season, Northstar offers an escape from routine and opportunity to experience life with family and friends.
Over its 40-year history, Northstar has experienced a metamorphosis unlike any other resort in the world. From a sleepy ski hill with a one-lane Village to a world-class destination resort worthy of some of the most well-recognized luxury brands around the globe, Northstar’s emergence has been nearly unprecedented.
Recent history has seen over $1 billion invested in the resort through a series of institutional investments that produced a new Ritz-Carlton Hotel, a world-class destination village, a new community of mountainside real estate the likes of which have never been seen the Tahoe region, and arguably the world’s premier resort operator in Vail Resorts.
As dramatic as this evolution has been, we have only seen the tip of the iceberg. A comprehensive Mountain Master Plan produced by Vail Resorts details plans for further expansion of ski terrain, lift capacity, food services and transportation. These efforts will be complimented by partnerships with key stakeholders in the resort including The Ritz-Carlton and Mountainside Partners, each of who have ample room to create new and unique offerings.
Each of these stakeholders understand that their role within the resort comes with a responsibility to the environment and to the community. Vail Resorts has created a Habitat Management Plan designed to preserve natural resources and enhance forest values including the dedication of hundreds of acres into conservation. Similarly, Tahoe Mountain Realty is pleased to participate in the distribution of over $100,000,000 in grant funds generated by a series of Community Benefit Fees through the sale of property in Northstar and throughout the region. These grants have funded the acquisition of thousands of acres of land now conserved in perpetuity as well as innumerable local non-profit agencies focused on providing critical services to the local community. A Scholarship Fund has been created to provide opportunity for higher education to local students whose families play a critical role in making this community special.
