My road to real estate was long and winding, but looking back it is clear that everything I encountered along the way has given me invaluable experience to apply to my profession. Having been fortunate enough to grow up in Truckee, I appreciate all that this quaint mountain town has to offer. After over 30 years, I still get lost in the abundance of beauty that surrounds me here. I’ll never stop exploring and discovering the incredible terrain to ski, trails to hike and bike, and corners of the lake to kayak and paddle board. Beyond recreation, there is an unmatchable sense of community that is welcoming to all residents- part time and full time alike. There’s no other place I can imagine raising a family, which is why I ultimately settled here and chose a profession in which I can share this lifestyle with others.
Other than family, my two greatest passions in life are golf and skiing. After college, I took a chance and pursued skiing with a fervor by living in Chamonix for a year and testing my limits in the French Alps. It is a skier’s dream; waking up every morning and grabbing a fresh pastry at a local Boulangerie before spending the entire day exploring the vast terrain of the Chamonix Valley. It would have been easy for me to get lost in the day-to-day ski lifestyle, but I couldn’t shake the sense that it would never replace my home. It was then that I decided to pursue my love of golf and become a PGA Professional. I came back to Truckee and was on the ground floor when East West Partners came to town in 2001. At that time, I had the privilege of being the Head Golf Professional at Old Greenwood and Gray’s Crossing. My favorite aspect of my time as a Golf Pro was building relationships with my members and getting to see them live out their own dreams in the Tahoe area. After conversations with TMR’s Managing Broker, Jeff Brown, I decided that helping people live the mountain lifestyle they envisioned should be my career. So, in a downturned economy and with a baby on the way, I took a leap of faith and joined Tahoe Mountain Resorts Real Estate. I have not looked back since.
From my background scaling high mountains and helping to run golf clubs, I have learned that the small details are what make the big picture. I take great pride in making real estate transactions a fun and easy process for my clients, and my intimate knowledge of all the communities in our area is a great tool to help individuals connect with what they are looking for. Throughout my professional life, I have always taken chances and pursued the things I love. I have now landed in a career that allows me to share one of my greatest passions- the amazing place that I call home.
