With roots on the east coast, those friends always ask, ‘How did you end up in Tahoe?’ A question that takes me back to my childhood visiting Vermont’s Green Mountains and then my college years spent in Burlington. I longed for the beauty of Vermont each year and loved the winter sports, mountain air, and the majestic Lake Champlain. From there I eventually ended up in San Francisco; an incredible journey combining an intimate city experience peppered with boundless outdoor recreation. That was where I was introduced to the Tahoe ski lease, enjoying 4 months of the year with the best skiing and winter wonderland anyone could imagine. For every winter season spent in the city, I signed up for a ski lease spanning from Truckee’s Tahoe-Donner to the north shore’s Carnelian Bay. Each winter was epic and I wound up visiting Tahoe throughout the year, exploring and expanding my love for this beautiful place.
As reality set in, my work in San Francisco began to change and I wanted something more for my future family. I wanted something that resembled my childhood and the connection with nature, the outdoors and a small town community feel. As luck would have it, a good friend introduced me to East West Partners and Tahoe Mountain Resorts Real Estate in the fall of 2005. I leapt at the opportunity to represent families in their search for their Tahoe lifestyle. My first summer was amazing. I had remembered a visit to Lake Tahoe here and there during this season, but my focus had always been the ski lease, so I was amazed by the perfect weather and new adventures. I got married at Lake Tahoe and 2 kids later, we are all lucky to call this our home.
