At The Movies in The Village at Northstar

A few evenings ago, my husband and I were in the mood to catch a movie. Out of habit, I began looking at show times for theaters down in Reno. We are both into movies and really enjoy seeing films in a modern theater with comfortable seats, great projection and exciting rumbling sound. Living up here in the beautiful Sierras, this usually means making the thirty minute trek down to Reno, it’s a bit of a drive but the theaters are great. The only problem is that there is usually quite a crowd and then a bit of a drive home afterwards. My husband mentioned the theater right here in the Village at Northstar. I was concerned a smaller venue wouldn’t be playing new releases, however I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the two auditoriums are always showing the latest and most popular releases. We decided to check it out and after a great movie going experience; I couldn’t believe we hadn’t taken advantage sooner. The theater was great, big enough to deliver the superb visuals and Dolby Digital sound you expect from a major cinema, yet small enough to feel cozy and comfortable, it even had reclining chairs! I think the auditorium we were in sat less than a hundred people. If you haven’t already, check it out, just another reason keep your plans up here in paradise. Show times usually run between 3:30 and 9:30p.m.
