2018 was another great year at Mountainside. With almost $27 million in sales the community once again proved that winter activities are not the only thing that drive ownership. As all of our Tahoe families understand, once ski teams end the summers spent on the mountains, trails and lakes are arguably as good as ski days on the hill.
We were excited to welcome a lot of new families to the community and none more so than the Taylor family who now own Mountainside Builders. As native Californians they easily realized that all of our projects are part of a vision for premier, luxury living in one of the country’s most pristine and beautiful areas. Picking up on the years of momentum we’ve had the future looks incredible bright under new ownership.
Looking at the sales this year we have some key highlights throughout the neighborhoods. The Stellar Collection is officially sold out of both Townhomes and single family Residences which means our first go at “modern” building was clearly a success for what our buyers our looking for. In the resale market we also saw marquis sales in multiple neighborhoods with $4M+ transactions in both the Ritz-Carlton and M25 Custom homesites. M25 in particular is really coming into its own with 3 new homes being built and 2 more in design review. At just over the halfway point we still have amazing homesites on the ski trails available with views of both Castle Peak and the Carson Mt. Range.
Moving into 2019 we are thrilled to announce the launch of the Boulders Residences, the newest neighborhood within Mountainside at Northstar. This project was created after hearing what existing owners in other Mountainside neighborhoods love about the community and what else we can be doing to deliver a high-quality experience. Five move-in ready residences have been released for the first time over the holiday break with remaining phases to be constructed in the Spring of 2019.
Purposefully designed to help bring balance to the busy lives of its residents the Boulders feature three distinct floorplans—Chutes, Vistas and Skiways. In only a very short time on market the feedback for these new homes as been incredible.
The ski season is off to a great start with both Home Run and the Timberline trails open. With more snow on the way we’re looking forward to seeing more families up over the busy weekends and upcoming holiday breaks. 2019 is looking to be every bit as excited as 2018 was at Mountainside.
