Well, we joyfully moved into the new home. We want to thank you for your help in making this possible. You were terrific in detailing and explaining the various communities and areas around Lake Tahoe. We both appreciate the hard work, and your kind way of dealing with us through the process. We had difficult schedules to work with and yet you made yourself available whenever we needed your help and your time. We are so appreciative of your professionalism, your extraordinary helpfulness, and your guidance throughout the process, finding a home and then negotiating a price that we could manage. It sounds repetitive but you really held our hands through this process and made it wonderful. There is so much emotion in purchasing a home and thank you for being our agent and now our newest Lake Tahoe friend.

M. Rosenblatt

We have worked with other realtors in the past and I can sincerely say that Mike Montalbano outshines every one of them in many ways. He knows the North Tahoe market really well, he's is on top of things and very responsive. But above all of that, he's is an amazing person, honest, understanding and someone you can trust to work in your best interest. Mike also has a lot of patience. He worked with us as we explored the Tahoe area for over a year. He guided us in multiple visits to look at homes and lots in multiple locations. In the end we couldn't be happier with the results. And we know he's still there to help us with any questions we have. I am just really grateful that Mike was the realtor who picked up the phone the day I called inquiring about a property. There is no doubt in our minds that the next time we or any friend need a realtor, Mike is the person to work with.

Working with Mike was fantastic! He is truly a first class person and a great agent. Mike is very knowledgeable about the community and was instrumental in the negotiation of my home in a very competitive market. He is a great communicator and I will certainly be working with him again in the future.

N. Liebert

Mike was a pleasure to work with. He knows the market and knew exactly what our house would sell for. He helped coordinate repairs as we were across country. We have done many real estate transactions but none went as smoothly as the last two with Mike.

N. Singer

Being in the market for a second home I made the obvious choice to call up Mike. Mike has an incredible grasp on the Truckee/Tahoe real estate market. He is able to steer his clients in the right direction due to both his use of analytics and his gut feeling of the market. Mike's primary goal is to make his clients happy. He makes sure they feel comfortable with their purchase and doesn't try to force a sale. Mike is able to point out not only the pros but also the cons of a prospective home. That honesty is much appreciated in this tough and competitive market. Looking forward to working with Mike again in the future.

Local Legends: Western States 100 Respect the Recovery

August 1, 2022
Over my years as an ultrarunner, I’ve learned that the 100-mile distance is one that can really tax the body and requires a lot of quality recovery afterward.  Sounds obvious, right?  Of course, running 100 miles is going to take a lot out of you. But considering that I’ve run many 100-mile races since my debut in 2014, it’s something that my body has adjusted to and has come to handle quite well.

Local Legends: Western States 100 Reflections

July 6, 2022
Adam Kimble and Jeff Brown, Tahoe Mountain Realty’s Athlete-in-Residence and Broker respectively, reflect on their journeys toward and the actual running of the Western States 100-mile Endurance Run last month. Western States, commonly referred to as the ‘Super Bowl of Ultrarunning,’ is the oldest 100-mile trail race in the world and runs 100 miles from Olympic Valley to Auburn, CA.
