Top “to-do” list for the weekend
If you’re anything like me, you consider Memorial Day weekend to be the official kick-off to summer in Tahoe. The water is starting to become bearable for swimming, the snow is melting and the bike/hike trails are spectacular. If you’re planning on visiting this weekend….here are some suggestions that might help you properly navigate the crowds and the abundant choices that often overwhelm visitors.
1. TMR’s Luxury Home Preview Tour
This is a fantastic opportunity to view some of the finest luxury offerings in our various Core Communities. Click the link or image for a full breakdown of featured properties.
2. Northstar Bike Park Opening Weekend
Often regarded for only the most adventurous of individuals, looking to armor up and bomb downhill, Northstar’s bike park has dismissed that stereotype by creating exceptional terrain for all ability levels and to promote progression. The park also offers scenic lift rides, the Downhill Grille at The Big Springs Day Lodge and hiking terrain.
This weekend, all lower mountain trail offerings will be freshly groomed and waiting for your tires, with upper mountain opening June 9th.
3. Go Ski/Snowboard at Squaw Valley
Yes you heard me correctly…Squaw is still open and the spring skiing conditions are epic. Make your friends jealous at home and get those last turns in for the season.
4. The Little Big Bike Festival- Truckee Bike Park
Whatever you decide to do this weekend, make sure to unplug, breath the fresh mountain air, while enjoying precious time with friends and family.
