The Labor Day weekend is upon us and we look forward to more beautiful weather and many people visiting the Tahoe/Truckee area to escape the heat.  This is one of my favorite times of the year as I start dreaming about the upcoming ski season and enjoy making S’mores and star gazing with the family around our fire pit.  There are a couple of fun events that you don’t want to miss if you will be in the area.

Northstar
With skiing on my mind be sure to check out the Blizzard Ski & Snowboard Tent Sale taking place September 1st – 4th in the Village at Northstar.  The Village will also be hosting a Brew Walk on Saturday the 2nd from 3-6pm that will feature a variety of microbrews and light snacks.  The Martis Valley Grille will be hosting a Brewmaster Dinner Sunday the 3rd from 5-7:30pm.

Squaw Valley
The 28th Annual Foam Fest will take place at Squaw Valley this Saturday September 2nd from 2-6pm with live music on the KT base bar sun deck.  The proceeds go to a great cause benefiting Achieve Tahoe which provides winter and summer sports instruction for adults and children of all ability levels with disabilities.  Your ticket will give you access to over 40 craft breweries and live music.
