August is coming up and before we know it the kids will be back to school and the Fall season will be approaching. The Tahoe Truckee real estate market is starting to pick up steam and we are currently experiencing the calm before the storm as buyers will be concluding their window shopping and making purchasing decisions with winter lingering in the back of their mind.

Until then we have plenty of fun activities coming up in August and we look forward to more beautiful weather and crisp Tahoe mornings. The free Gray’s Tuesday concerts have been a big hit so far this summer and there are still six weeks left, running through Sept 5th. Make sure to mark your calendars for August 15th for my personal favorite – the Wheeland Brothers. They are fun and lively entertainers and include the kids which makes it memorable. To fill the gap between Gray’s Tuesdays and Truckee Thursdays, we also have Music in the Park Wednesdays. These concerts take place at Truckee Regional Park Amphitheater from 6:30 – 8pm every Wednesday and are free to attend. There are 5 weeks remaining running through August 30th with some great talent on tap. Take the kids out to Squaw Valley under the stars in the event plaza for the complimentary outdoor summer movie from 8:30 to 10pm. For the adults you can check out the Truckee Taproom Tour. The new Alibi Ale Works right downtown just opened in July. The vibe is laid back, and the perfect place to grab a unique microbrew and some snacks. Check out the website for more information on their live music schedule.
