Today is Northstar’s last day of ski operations, and of course it is supposed to snow on Tuesday… and next weekend. Ski leases are over and inventory is slowly beginning to grow. The next two months will be a great time to look at real estate, as 90% of the homes will be vacant and easy to show. In the last week we have seen an average of 15 new listings per day come on the market, but the majority of them have been concentrated in Tahoe Donner. My feeling is that will shift towards the Lake in the coming weeks.
Currently there are 37 single family homes pending in the area, 5 of which are in Martis Camp. 118 single family homes are currently contingent with the highest priced being in Incline Village- asking $14,995,000. The last time we saw a sale around $15,000,000 was in May 2013.
With the amazing weather we have been having and strong real estate showings and sales, it is looking like the typical “off” season will be busier than usual.
