It has been a surreal time the past few weeks. The “closure” of the country is unlike anything I have experienced in my 37 years. Looking through social media I have seen many calendars with big x-outs, canceled written all over the month of March with I’m sure April to follow. The good news is as the days go by so does Covid-19’s window to infect. Spring and summer will bring a renewed feeling as it always does for me and my family with 1 additional wrinkle that will reshape my life forever.

After 13 years living in Truckee, the seasonal lifestyle just feels normal. It feels right when October rolls around that I am ready to put away the Golf clubs and wax up the Skis. Reverse that feeling when April approaches. The same normal Golf craving comes over me. The desire to improve and reach new highs with my game. The multiple championship courses to choose from in Tahoe and the crisp morning air when the first golf ball of the day takes flight. The countless range balls hit to clear your mind from the day. It is simply a special time of year as the anticipation builds towards May and the opening of our mountain Golf season. By far this sport is my favorite outdoor activity to do and I am looking forward to the first round of the season a little more than a month from now.

The additional wrinkle, comes at the end of May when my wife and I will welcome our 1st born daughter into the world… “Normal” will have a whole new meaning from that day on.
