Planning your winter in the Truckee-Tahoe area? Choosing between the Epic Pass and Ikon Pass depends on your skiing preferences and favorite resorts. Here’s a breakdown of the latest offerings for the 2024/25 season:

Epic Pass

The Epic Pass offers unlimited access to Northstar, Heavenly, and Kirkwood, along with many other Vail-owned resorts. Priced at $929 (full pass), it includes extra perks like discounts on lodging, rentals, and lessons, and no blackout dates. For a more budget-friendly option, the Epic Local Pass at $739 provides access with a few holiday restrictions. Both passes also offer Epic Coverage for unexpected closures or injuries.

For more flexibility, the Epic Day Pass allows you to choose between 1 to 7 days of skiing at a lower upfront cost, starting at just $48/day if you commit early. Each pass holder also enjoys discounted buddy tickets, making it easier to bring friends along.
