As May comes to a close in Tahoe, the local food scene in Truckee ramps up. Street fairs and farmer’s markets begin to pop up around the second week of June. Shop locally and support the slow food movement at the Truckee Certified Farmer’s Markets on Tuesdays at the Truckee River Regional Park (opening June 4th), and Sundays at the shopping center at 12047 Donner Pass Road, throughout the summer (open June 16th).
Enjoy fresh produce, live music, artisan quality foods from farmers and gardeners within 125 miles of the Town of Truckee. The popular Truckee Thursdays street fair kicks off the season on June 13th. The family friendly event highlights local artists, food trucks, live music and a 21+ beer garden. Parking can be scarce, take the free shuttle or bike, to allow for a stress free event.
