On Friday, my husband and I drove from the North Shore down towards Zephyr Cove to meet up with close friends to have dinner on Lake Tahoe. This was my first outing on the lake all summer and we couldn’t have picked a better night. The drive along the East Shore is beautiful in itself, but to then get on a boat and see Tahoe from the water is a whole other experience. We loaded up with all of our food and drinks and set off to Emerald Bay. In a quick 20 minutes, we enter Emerald Bay and take in all the beauty that surrounds. We take our time cruising around Fannett Island and taking in the sights before finding a buoy to anchor to for dinner. After crab cake sliders, antipasti salad and some white wine we were ready for a swim. I could not believe the temperature of the water at 5pm, I did not want to get out. Before we knew it the sun started to set so we headed back to where we began. This definitely was the most amazing thing I have done at the Lake all summer.
