The owners behind one of my favorite shops in downtown Truckee, Bespoke have opened up a new shop just two doors down called Ateilier. Atelier, meaning ‘workshop’ in French, opened its doors March 6th, 2015 with a grand showing and champagne toast for all.
The shop is not only a place for artists, crafters and parents to come buy the most unique and quality supplies, but a place for creation. With a letter press set at the front of the store, you can watch resident artists in action. The best part of all is that you can be an artist yourself, coming together with friends and the community at one of the many classes offered through Atelier. The back half of the store is set aside for inspiring community classes. Every first Friday of the month, join in on the “Social Sketch” where you can collaborate and socialize with other artists, casual doodlers and creative people. Classes are frequent and have diverse themes from sewing to photography to exotic cocktail making.
A few of the upcoming classes include: Photography- Capturing your Kid, May 28, Intro to Night Photography, June 6, Learn to Stitch, June 6, and Cheese Making on June 14.
