Resort townhomes have been a hot commodity in the Truckee area this summer in Old Greenwood and Schaffer’s Mill.  They offer easy living with hassle free maintenance included in the HOA fees, great amenities, and a price point for newer product that is very competitive when compared to single family homes.

In Schaffer’s Mill there have been 10 townhomes sold year to date at an average price of $1.3M – all 3 bedrooms between 2,000 and 3,000 sq. ft.  These townhomes were all completed with the exception of four that were under construction when they sold and those 4 were in the finish stages of construction and very defined to the buyer.

This summer Old Greenwood released the Legacy Collection which consists of  3 townhomes located on the 10th hole of the Old Greenwood golf course.  There are currently 3 of these townhomes  pending which are all 3 bed 3.5 baths.  All three of these are turn key and fully furnished so the buyers are seeing immediate gratification.  These will all be closing in the mid to high $800’s are should be a good indicator of the fall activity in the resort market.

  • Siding going up on townhomes 4, 5 and 6
  • Interior doors, windows and trim will be stained on townhomes 1, 2 and 3
  • Drywall in townhomes 7 and 8 is hung and tape and texture is being applied
  • Trusses were delivered to townhomes 16 and 17 and the final roof framing will begin
