The Village at Northstar had a great 2017. The large snow load pushed traffic to the mountain and the charm of the Village was on full display. At an average price of $826,383, 26 total units were sold in 2017, up from 15 units in 2016. The bulk of the increase in sales came from the one bedroom and two bedroom markets. The “crash pad” for families and weekend warriors were hot buys as people wanted to be on location for their ski trips.

As we breakdown the sales into sub-categories we can see the sales increase in the core of the Village markets. One, Two and Three bedroom condos all jumped up in units sold as more families wanted to avoid traffic and live where they ski.

The convenience of living at the mountain during ski trips showcased its value in 2017 with increased sales and average unit value.

2017 also brought some new vendors and restaurants to the Village, expanding the options for visitors and owners. Lululemon and Yamakai Fish & Sushi Co. were two of these additions.

To close the book on 2017 lets look back at the two key facts. There was a 75% increase in sales and there was an increase in the average sales price for all unit sizes. The success of 2017 also left the market a little starved for inventory. If you are on the fence about selling your Village Condo now would be a great time to test the market. There is no better family atmosphere at a Tahoe ski resort than the Village at Northstar.
